A 50-year-old man who was arrested Thursday in connection with the deadly stabbing of a 27-year-old woman has been released.
His 46-year-old boyfriend remains in police custody.
The two men were arrested by police in Dollard-des-Ormeaux after a young woman was attacked at her Brunswick Street apartment building.
One of the men worked there as a janitor.
Witnesses say the incident may have begun as an argument over dog droppings.
It happened around 10:30 a.m.
The woman was rushed to hospital with stab wounds to her chest and throat but died shortly after.
The suspect will appear at a Montreal courthouse on Friday.
